I really appreciate you getting all this information together. Any possible way you can get images other than what is on other websites? Thanks for all your hard work.
Hi Greg. Thank you for the kind words. I have a number of images from the first three all-star games in San Diego, most have which have likely never been published. What are you looking for? You can send me an email at todd@talesfromtheamericanfootballleague.com.
Todd,
Great stuff man. I didnt realize that W.Brown wore #47 in the 68 year. I would never have guessed that. In regards to the images I would like any kind of photos. I just like to have images that I can always reference to when it comes to uniform style and the specs on font numbers and size. If you every have the time or come across some images (other than what is on the net already) please email them to me. Thank you.
Thanks, Greg. I am searching for the 1966 & 1970 rosters to finish out this section. I will post them as soon as I get them.
I probably have 150-250 images from the first three AFL All-Star Games. If there is something specific that you are looking for, I can take a look, but it will take a long time for me to get them all scanned and on the site.
Greg, I remembered the number you regarding willie brown, he did not wear 47 if memory serves me right. at game time the numbers were the traditional 24, same for sweeny, mix, mackinnon, etc. I have no idea how the other numbers were assigned. One of the college allstar games with John Reaves and Pat Sullivan, both wore 7. The solution was 7R and 7S…..a different time.
Hi Todd,
I know some time has passed. Hope all is well. Was just wondering if you were able to come across anything for the ’66 and ’70 seasons. Thanks.
